Sharon Bradley, RLA, ASLA, is the President and founding
Principal of Bradley
Site Design, a landscape architecture and land planning firm committed to
sustainable site design and urban revitalization. She has thirty years of
experience in the field, with a deep background in community redevelopment and
placemaking, a broad knowledge of plant materials and natural systems, and
extensive experience in sustainable site design and construction. She combines
this technical expertise with her passion for social justice to create a new
business model for community design.
Sharon has been involved in the
creation of certified wildlife habitats, edible gardens, innovative stormwater
management solutions, and other community-building environmental restoration
efforts from Pennsylvania to Florida. Before establishing Bradley Site Design,
she worked with Oehme van Sweden & Associates Landscape Architects and Keyes
Condon Florance Architects.
She served as Chair of ASLA’s Housing
and Community Development Professional Practice Network (PPN) and recently
became the first landscape architect to receive the D.C. Mayor’s Environmental
Excellence Award.
