Jennifer L. Toole, ASLA, AICP is the President of Toole Design Group, the nation's leading planning, engineering and landscape architecture firm specializing in bicycle and pedestrian transportation. With offices in Washington, D.C., Boston, MA, Madison, WI and Seattle, WA, Toole Design Group has a national reputation for its ground-breaking work on alternative transportation, and has worked on projects in 30 states as well as Canada and South America.
Well respected amongst her peers, Jennifer was Principal Investigator for the 2012 edition of AASHTO’s Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities. She served three terms as the President of the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP), and received one of the organization’s highest honors – the Professional of the Year Award.
Toole Design Group was the lead designer for Washington, D.C.’s bicycle network, including the 15th Street Cycle Track and the bike lanes on Pennsylvania Avenue.
