Dena Kennett, ASLA

Dena Kennett, ASLA, is the Manager of Professional Practice at the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). She oversees ASLA’s 18 Professional Practice Networks, Landscape Architecture Technical Information Series (LATIS), Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS), and other professional practice programs and services. She manages a network of experts related to landscape architecture areas of practice, focusing on innovative and emerging practice areas. She also established and manages The Field: Professional Landscape Architect Network blog.

Dena’s professional experience includes practice at EDAW|AECOM in the Alexandria office where she designed sustainable streetscapes, community parks, memorials, U.S. embassies abroad, and academic campuses. 

She was a member of the local planning committee for the 2010 ASLA annual meeting in Washington, D.C. and created a D.C. City Guide for visiting members, which was an inspiration for this project.
