Susan Spain, ASLA, joined the Denver Service Center of the National Park Service in 1989. The National Park Service conserves nearly 400 extraordinary historic and natural places for the enjoyment of the American public. Susan has worked on NPS projects in a dozen states.
Susan’s work includes design, planning, project management, transportation, facilitation, and special projects. The National Mall Plan (2006 -2010) is now in plan implementation. Susan has also worked on NPS projects at The White House & President's Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and War in the Pacific National Historical Park (Guam), Denali National Park, Olympic National Park, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, and Fort Monroe National Monument.
