One Continuous Surface
Although it appears that there are sidewalks and a street, the alley is one continuous walking and driving surface.

Places to Sit
Just east of 33rd Street, there's a courtyard in which to sit.

A Stone Walkway
The courtyard links directly to M Street via a stone stairway. More people enter and leave Cady's Alley via this cut-through than by the two ends.

The Alley Drains to the Center
This drainage channel is marked by water-washed stones. In addition, Cady's Alley is paved with granite blocks and edge-set brick.
