Elizabeth Miller, ASLA

Elizabeth Miller is the Acting Director of the Physical Planning Division at the National Capital Planning Commission. Elizabeth has over 25 years of public and private sector experience. She has managed some of the commission's key award winning initiatives, including the Urban Design and Security Plan for Pennsylvania Avenue at the White House, the National Capital Framework Plan, and the SW Ecodistrict Plan.

Prior to joining the commission, Elizabeth was a principal planner for Palm Beach County, Florida and served in appointed positions on several boards and commissions. She holds a Master of Design Studies degree with a concentration in Real Estate Development from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design and a BA in landscape architecture from the University of Florida.

The National Capital Planning Commission is the federal government’s planning agency for the National Capital Region. The 12-member Commission is supported by a staff of urban planners and designers. NCPC protects and enhances the historic, cultural, and natural resources of the national capital by coordinating the planning efforts of federal agencies that construct and renovate facilities within the National Capital Region.
