National Site Tour Month
Landscape Architecture Site Tours
Why Host a Site Tour?
August is officially ASLA's National Site Tour Month. Hosting a site tour can make an enormous impact in educating local, state, and federal policy makers on how landscape architects use design to create well-planned communities and master plans, parks, transportation corridors, and manage stormwater runoff.
ASLA advocates are essential stakeholders in promoting ASLA’s advocacy priorities, including licensure, and are well-qualified to provide elected officials with an overview of the profession’s contributions in your community.
To learn how to host a site tour for public officials, view our 2022 webinar and download our "Guide to Hosting Tours with Elected Officials" (right).
And don't forget to share your site tour experiences on social media using #SiteTourMonth and #ASLAadvocates.
