  • Fire Circle and Stargazing Platform at Goose Island State Park

    The fire pit itself is a ring of shellcrete with a broken 1/4” steel plate that protects the shellcrete from the roaring fires. River rock and sand were used to tie the two elements together. Two horizontal datums were established to regulate cast materials and their wooden counterparts above.
