Slow Down
The visual nature of the intersection causes motorists to slow down. The geometric design is based on an indigenous symbol for gathering and peace.

A kids’ playhouse sits on the NW corner. Toys are brought and left for anyone to use. A shade canopy was constructed of branches and assembled like a tree fort.

A small library sits on the SE corner filled mostly with children’s books. People are invited to give and take books as they like. Neighbors have noticed there has been more shared childcare among families living near the square, a potential result of the increased interaction of neighbors around the intersection.

Covered seating encourages readers to stay and linger in the square.

Most bus stop benches are not as elaborate as the one sitting along Share-It Square. The stone and earthen bench is sculpted with the face of a woman and wings.

On the NW corner of the square a 24-hour solar tea station invites people to stop on their “journey” and have a cup of tea.
Image: Rachel Hill A Sideways Nose
A misaligned nose is due to the city's sewer crew. It adds a humorous aspect to the site and reflects how so many "collaborators" are involved in its creation.
