ASLA Climate and Biodiversity Action Network Regions / ASLA
The ASLA Climate and Biodiversity Action Network (CBAN) enables regional collaboration on ASLA Climate and Biodiversity Action goals and builds the capacity of ASLA Chapter Climate and Biodiversity Action Committees.
The ASLA Climate and Biodiversity Action Network is comprised of:
- Chapter Climate and Biodiversity Action Committee Chairs
- Chapter Climate and Biodiversity Action Representatives (for Chapters with no committees)
- Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) Provincial and Regional Components
The mission of the CBAN is to:
- Share strategies for more effective climate and biodiversity action at the chapter and regional levels
- Increase collaboration among chapters on regional action
- Advance collaboration between practitioners and academics at the chapter and regional levels on action research
How Chapter Chairs and Representatives can collaborate in the network:
- Communications - Sharing and co-developing new resources, talking points, and language landscape architects can use to promote landscape architects’ role in climate and biodiversity, so we will be called upon to be a part of all aspects of climate and biodiversity action work.
- Advocacy - Sharing and co-developing strategies on how to influence local and state climate and biodiversity policies and regulations
- Practice - Sharing planned or built work and tools that address climate and biodiversity issues specific to your region that others can learn fro
- Research - Sharing action research by academics, firms, or other organizations that can inform practice and advance innovative tools and techniques
- Finance - Sharing public and private funding opportunities for climate and biodiversity projects
