EUROPAN 18 Ideas Competition: Re-sourcing

Date: 4/24/2025 - 6/29/2025

Type: Competitions / Awards

LA CES approved?: No

Location(s): International

Description:

Europan is a platform for young professionals of urban, landscape and architectural design under 40 and a thematic competition of ideas / projects of architecture, urbanism and landscape, followed by implementation processes. It is a tool for European cities and urban actors to find and develop innovative strategies for their sites in transformation.

Each biennial session, around fifty cities in Europe offer sites on which these professionals (more than 3,000 each session) answer a set of questions. They imagine a better future for the proposed contexts, adapted to major ecological and societal changes. The competition takes place simultaneously in several European countries and is evaluated by juries of renowned experts. Each session, more than a hundred projects are awarded, with several ideas for each site.

For young professionals, Europan is a rare opportunity to be able to show and share their visions for the future of these inhabited milieus that must be taken care of.

The theme for the 2025 competition is: Re-sourcing.

June 29 is the deadline for the online submission of projects.
