‘Limited Functions’ Defined

We’re committed to minimizing disruptions and keeping you informed about what will and won’t be available during this upgrade. We have worked with our technology partners to provide the shortest period of disruption possible. This has led to a period of limited functionality. Here are the details on what that means:

Service

Limited Functions Period

System Offline

Online membership renewal

Join ASLA as a new member

Access your existing account information

Update contact information or preferences

Login to members-only content via the website

Unaffected Services

The following services will remain available throughout the maintenance period.

  • ✅ JobLink
  • ✅ FirmFinder
  • ✅ Shop ASLA
  • ✅ Submit to the call for presentations for the ASLA 2025 Conference (opens early January)

Also, you can always contact ASLA staff for support at any time.

How You Can Prepare

We encourage you to take these steps before December 31, 2024, to ensure a smooth transition:

  • Renew Your Membership: Ensure uninterrupted access to all your member benefits. If you have Auto Renew turned on, no action is needed.
  • Update Your Contact Information: Double-check your address, email, and phone number to stay connected.
  • Review Your Professional, Firm, and Personal Information: Completing this information under the About Me tab in your member profile enables us to tailor messaging to you for a more personalized experience.
  • Get Your Course Certificates: Access ASLA Online Learning to download course completion certificates.

Acting now helps us ensure your information is up-to-date and minimizes any potential disruptions during the upgrade.

However, rest assured, even if you don’t act, your existing account information will automatically transfer to the new system.

Important Note: Password Reset Required After Upgrade

For your security, all members will need to reset their passwords after the system upgrade. ASLA cannot access your current password, so this step ensures your account remains secure and protected. ASLA will email you directly with a link to create a new password.

FAQs

Why is this upgrade necessary?

Our current system is outdated and limits how efficiently we can serve you. The new system will make managing your account faster and more convenient while improving access to member benefits.

Why is there downtime?

This upgrade requires transferring large amounts of data, testing integrations, and ensuring everything works correctly before going live. Downtime is essential to making the system more reliable moving forward.

What if I need help during the downtime?
