Aerial Tram
The gardens are best reached via the Portland aerial tram. The tram provides convenient round trips to Portland’s Waterfront District. The tram was built to provide quick and easy access to Marquam Hill and all of its healthcare facilities. The tram is also used by residents and visitors because of its commanding views of downtown Portland and the surrounding area.

Artists designed many of the benches and seating-walls in the garden. These functional sculptures provide places for exploration and discovery. Materials create tactile sensory experiences for visitors. This stone bench has a water feature built into it. This bench can be a table to have lunch, a place to lay down and take a nap, or a spot to take care of a young child.
