The Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES) promotes sustainable land design, development and management practices. Administered by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), SITES certification provides a pathway to integrate sustainability into landscapes, enhancing ecological health, economic benefits, and community well-being.
To keep the rating system relevant and effective, GBCI is calling on professionals, practitioners, and stakeholders who have engaged with a SITES project to share their insights on the process.
The SITES rating system guides projects in areas like soil restoration, water conservation, habitat protection, and human health promotion. However, as environmental challenges evolve, it’s critical to refine and adapt the standards to meet emerging needs and opportunities. By participating in this brief feedback survey, you can help ensure the system remains a robust and practical tool for the landscape architecture community and beyond.
The survey consists of just six questions and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. GBCI is particularly interested in hearing about:
- The benefits you’ve experienced using the SITES framework.
- Challenges encountered during certification or implementation.
- Suggestions for improvements to enhance the rating system's usability and impact.
Your contributions will directly influence the next iteration of SITES, enabling it to better support projects that restore ecosystems, foster biodiversity, and mitigate climate change.
