Deadline for Approaching LAF Scholarships

The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) reminds students about its 2025 scholarship opportunities. More than $150,000 is available through 17 different scholarships established by generous sponsors. Applications are due February 1.
LAF scholarships are open to students enrolled at colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada. Additional eligibility requirements vary by award. Full application materials – including any required letters of recommendation, essays, or work samples – must be submitted by the deadline.

For Master's Students
- LAF Honor Scholarship in Memory of Joe Lalli, FASLA - $20,000 winner, $10,000 first runner-up, $5,000 second runner-up
- LAF Honor Scholarship for Inclusive Community Design - $10,000 winner, $5,000 runner up
- Kenneth R. Brooks MLA Research Scholarship - $5,000
- MIG Scholarship for the Planning and Design of Equitable and Inclusive Environments - Two $5,000 winners
For Undergraduates
- ASLA Council of Fellows Scholarships - $10,000 winner, up to four $5,000 runners-up
- Courtland Paul Scholarship - $5,000
- LandDesign Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Scholarships - Two $5,000 winners + mentoring
- Landscape Forms Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship - $5,000
- Landscape Forms Scholarship in Memory of Peter Lindsay Schaudt, FASLA - $5,000
- Rain Bird Intelligent Use of Water™ Scholarship - $5,000
For Grad or Undergraduate Students
- Daniel Zwier/Permaloc Innovation Scholarship - $5,000

To date, the Landscape Architecture Foundation has awarded $1.9 million in sponsored scholarships to more than 650 students. These scholarships support new generations of landscape architects by rewarding superior student performance, supporting access and diversity, and assisting students with unmet financial need.
