Dear LAREy, 

I am registering to take the Grading, Drainage, and Stormwater Management exam during the December administration. I saw ASLA is conducting LARE Prep Workshops for all four exams at the Conference on Landscape Architecture, but it appears I would have to register for the conference to attend the workshops. Is this true? Or does ASLA ever offer LARE Prep Workshops in a “live” virtual format? I, unfortunately, don’t have extra PTO to attend conference this year, but really want to enhance my studying for the Grading, Drainage, and Stormwater Management exam.

Great news! Since you’re unable to attend the conference workshops in-person, ASLA has you covered. This year, for the first time ever, we are offering a live zoom option for the LARE Prep Workshops. This means you can join from anywhere, no extra PTO required! Registration for the virtual option can be completed through the ASLA Online Learning Portal. Prices for virtual attendance range from $130 to $160 for members and $225 to $255 for non-members. 

Additionally, if you have friends and colleagues who live close to Washington DC and studying for the L.A.R.E., please help spread the word that they can now to attend our LARE Prep Workshops in-personwithout attending the Conference on Landscape Architecture. In-person registration can only be completed through the conference registration portal. 

These workshops are an excellent opportunity to dive deep into the exam content, connect with fellow candidates, and get personalized advice from experienced instructors. Whether you join in-person or online, you’ll be fully supported in your preparation for the Grading, Drainage, and Stormwater Management exam.
