New RFPs and RFQs for Landscape Architects

ASLA’s RFQs, Opportunities, and Events page provides information on everything from RFPs to calls for papers and design competitions. Below, we highlight recently submitted RFPs and RFQs. Anyone who would like to share an opportunity may submit information online.

RFP: Powell Street Improvement Project
Deadline: December 20, 2023
As Downtown San Francisco emerges from the Pandemic, lower Powell Street -- the entryway into Union Square and home of the iconic cable car turnaround -- is ripe for change and new investment. The City of San Francisco and the Union Square Alliance are partnering to design and construct upgrades to the public realm along Powell between Market and Geary Streets. The project goal is to improve the pedestrian environment, potentially including sidewalks, new sidewalk extensions, landscaping, lighting and wayfinding.

RFP: Baxter Park Improvement Plan
Deadline: December 20, 2023
The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is seeking a qualified landscape architect and consultant team to provide community and stakeholder engagement and design services for the Baxter Park Improvement Plan. The Improvement Plan shall serve as the basis of completing future design development, final design, and construction documents for Baxter Park in subsequent project phases.

RFQ: Landscape Beautification and Installation Supervision
Deadline: January 10, 2024
The Chicago Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified landscape architecture firm to provide design services for medians and public spaces located in the right of way, including the seasonal displays for Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive.

RFQ: Landscape Master Plan for Raleigh-Durham Airport
Deadline: January 23, 2024
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority is seeking qualification statements from a qualified landscape architecture or other firms capable of producing a campus-wide Landscape Master Plan for the Raleigh Durham International Airport. The Authority's objective is to establish an impactful, attractive, and consistent look for the Airport. This would be achieved through the implementation of innovative and sustainable landscaping design strategies and techniques during the ongoing maintenance and upgrade of the campus' aging landscape.

RFP: A New Pennsylvania Avenue Plan - Public Space Master Plan and Concept Design
Deadline: March 1, 2024
The National Capital Planning Commission is seeking consultant services to prepare "A New Pennsylvania Avenue Plan" for the 1.2-mile corridor between the White House and U.S. Capitol, the adjoining 40 acres of public space, and the adjacent blocks and intersecting streets. This RFP focuses on the Public Space Master Plan and Concept Design, including tasks related to the design of the right-of-way, parks, building yards, and infrastructure. It will be developed in coordination with findings from Phase 1. It will be developed in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and the National Historic Preservation Act and Agency approvals.
