The 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season started on June 1, 2023, and ASLA members were ready to educate the public about how to mitigate the impacts of hurricanes, rising tides and flooding. Aida Curtis, ASLA, is a founding principal of the Miami-based Curtis+Rogers firm. Aida shared her firm’s ideas on how municipalities like Miami can mitigate against storm surges and she also offered tips to residents on how to best mitigate against rising sea levels. You can view the segment here.

The ASLA 2023 Conference on Landscape Architecture in Minneapolis is rich in content when it comes to climate change and biodiversity!  You can search the conference education sessions by learning track.
