Land and Water
The two faces of the piece -- soft and green, blue and hard -- alternate between facing Washington Street and Peters Park and recall the places land and water narrative. The blue glass mosaic tiles are designed to look like clouds reflected on water.

The sinuous, two-wave scheme is about 100 feet long and 30 feet wide. The maximum height of 5.5 feet maintains the human scale of the installation.

The stainless steel end plate places the work in historical context by including an etched map of early Boston that highlights the only road in or out of the city and the marshland on either side.
