Kaki Martin, ASLA, is a founding partner of the Klopfer Martin Design Group, which was started in 2007. The focus of the award-winning eponymous practice is the interface of building and site within the urban landscape, including the design of public parks, streetscapes, and downtown corridors and districts. Prior to partnering with Mark Klopfer on the firm, she practiced in the offices of Martha Schwartz Inc and Hargreaves Associates.
Kaki is an adjunct professor at the Rhode Island School of Design and taught in a similar capacity at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where she earned her Master of Landscape Architecture in 1995.
She is currently the vice chair of the Cambridge Conservation Commission and the Boston Society of Landscape Architects Nominations Committee.
Kaki is also a founding board member of Good Sports, a Boston based non-profit devoted to ensure that disadvantaged youth have the equipment they need to participate in organized athletic programs.
