RFQ for Kent Valley Loop Trail Master Plan, Kent, Washington

Date: 3/8/2013 - 3/19/2013

Type: RFPs / RFQs

Location(s): Washington

The City of Kent is soliciting Statements of Qualification for the completion of a loop trail master plan from consultants experienced in similar projects. Through a previous planning effort, the opportunity to create a loop trail in Kent utilizing the Interurban and the Green River trails was identified. The goal of the loop trail project is to increase the recreational value of the trails and adjacent parks, and better connect the trails to the surrounding community. This project will develop that idea into a master plan and propose options for phasing improvements.

The selected design team will be required to enter into a consultant agreement with the City of Kent and provide appropriate insurance and endorsements. Submit eight (8) copies of the Statement of Qualifications (not to exceed 30 pages, excluding the cover letter). The required components of the SOQ are detailed in the Information Packet for this RFQ, available from the city’s procurement website: . Submittals are due by March 28, 2013, at 5:00 p.m., addressed to the Point of Contact noted below. Interested firms shall attend a mandatory pre-submittal site visit, to be held 1p.m. on March 19, 2013, at Foster Park. The park is located at South 259th Street and 74th Avenue South, Kent. The City of Kent will review the Statements of Qualifications and select qualified firms to be interviewed on April 9, 2013. Final selection will occur on April 10, 2013.
