Washington, D.C., Sept. 20, 2012 – ASLA and ValleyCrest will
be hosting a tweetup during the 2012 Annual Meeting and EXPO. The event will be
by the tweet board in the ASLA Commons area of the EXPO at the Phoenix
Convention Center, Sunday, Sept. 30,
12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
A tweetup is simply a meet-up for Twitter, where attendees
come together to talk about social media and meet others who tweet about
similar topics. At the event, ASLA and ValleyCrest will host a conversation
about the meeting via Twitter. For those who are new to Twitter or simply want
a refresher, ValleyCrest will offer Twitter training during the event to teach
participants about hashtags, Twitter chats, adding photos and more.
For those who cannot attend the event in person, ASLA and
ValleyCrest invite anyone to participate via Twitter by following #landscapechat and #ASLA2012 and joining the conversation. Leading up to the tweetup,
follow ASLA on twitter at @landarchitects
for more updates.
The ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO attracts an estimated 5,000
attendees and is the world’s largest annual gathering of landscape architecture
professionals and students. With the theme “Beyond Boundaries: Design,
Leadership and Community,” the 2012 event features more than 135 education
sessions, workshops, and field sessions, and provides attendees with up to 21
Professional Development Hours. The exposition will include the latest products
and services from over 450 exhibitors.
