On Thursday February 24 ASLA Government Affairs hosted an ASLA Advocacy Network training session. The half-hour training gave ASLA members a brief tutorial on how to use ASLA’s
valuable grassroots tool, the Advocacy Network, and how participation in the
advocacy network helps raise the profile of the profession by supporting
federal and state legislation important to landscape architects. Staff from ASLA and Capwiz, the advocacy network vendor, also highlighted the ability to use the Advocacy Network to share information
about federal programs important to landscape architects, alert members on
state and local legislation of interest, and allow ASLA chapter leaders to share
information with their members. The training session was recorded and is available online for members to view at their convenience.
