CITY OF COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS CP-12-07 LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE DESIGN SERVICES FOR A GATEWAY ECO PARK

The City of College Park, Maryland, is seeking proposals from interested and qualified firms or teams to provide landscape architecture design services for a gateway eco park at the intersection of U.S. Route 1 (Baltimore Avenue) and Edgewood Road, 4703 Edgewood Road, College Park, MD.

The Hollywood Gateway Park site is an approximately 6,800 square foot lot at the southeast corner of U.S. Route 1 and Edgewood Road that is zoned Commercial Shopping Center (C-S-C). The City of College Park purchased the property using State of Maryland Program Open Space (POS) funds and plans to redevelop the site as an eco park and gateway to the city and the Hollywood neighborhood.

Copies of the RFP package, including a project description, student design concepts, submission requirements and affidavits, may be downloaded from the City’s website at www.collegeparkmd.gov. Requests for printed copies should be directed to the Planning Department, 4500 Knox Road, College Park, MD 20740, Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (telephone 240-487-3538). Five (5) copies of the bid proposal plus required attachments must be submitted on the specified forms, in full compliance with the specific requirements stated in the Bid Documents, in a sealed envelope or box marked Landscape Architecture Design Services, RFP CP-12-07 and delivered to the Finance Department, City of College Park, 4500 Knox Road, College Park, MD 20740-3390, no later than Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at which time the sealed bids will be opened and read publicly. Award of a contract will be made by the mayor and council at a regular meeting.
