Brief description of event: Garden Design Workshop presents the opportunity to learn about functional and beautiful garden design in our climatic conditions. All participants will have the opportunity to develop a unique plan for their own residential garden with the assistance of the best professional designers in Anchorage.

Name of activity: Careers in Landscape Architecture School Presentation(s)
Date: April 2009
Location: Schools in Juneau, Soldotna and Anchorage, Alaska.


Brief description of event: 
ASLA members will contact educators and school advisors and schedule presentations to students on Careers in Landscape Architecture.  National’s power point presentation has been modified to include landscape architectural projects that are Alaska specific so that students may directly relate to how the profession affects the lives of Alaskans.  Some activities will involve working with younger students, others will meet with H.S. aged students.
